Volunteers with Academy Mortgage are currently working to rebuild homes and sheds for the community of Paradise, California. The first home being built is for an 84-year-old woman who lost everything in the 2018 Camp Fire. Academy has teamed up with several nonprofit organizations to help Inspire Hope in the community devastated by one of the most destructive fires in California’s history.

Local businesses have also stepped in to help Academy and its volunteers. Since the first team arrived last week, the following donations were received:

• Lowe’s donated appliances, windows, paint, kitchen cabinets, roofing, fashion bath.
• Northstate Aggregate Inc. donated rock and other materials.
• Anderson Lumber donated lumber.
• Nor Cal Construction donated architectural fees and services.
• Skyway Tools donated tools to assist with rebuilding.
• Carl Johnsen Construction donated time and management services.

Academy thanks these companies for their generosity as the Utah-based mortgage company helps make Paradise home again.

A reminder that Academy is also hosting the Paradise Rising Festival on Thursday, June 17, 2021. The event is free for all to attend and will celebrate the Paradise community and the commitment to Building Prosperity in Paradise. There will also be 250 trees that will be given out as part of the rebuilding efforts in the community.
